Within the frame of its celebrated Project Ethos, the UN Global Compact Slovenia in partnership with Ekvilib Institute and The Managers' Association of Slovenia is delighted to invite you to a Round Table dedicated to the International Day of Anti-Corruption. Held on Thursday, December 8th, 2011 in Ljubljana, the Round Table will bring together representatives of business, government, civil society and media to discuss and promote the vision of honest and fair business as a factor of growth, competitiveness, and positive change. Best practices and real-life solutions for assuring honest and fair business will also be presented, among them – UNGC Slovenia’s Declaration for Honest Business, launched in 2011 and signed by 38 institutions to date.

The Round Table will serve as a conclusion for an intense year of work, dedicated to the 10th principle of Global Compact on anti-corruption. In 2009, upon the initiative of Siemens Slovenia, a task force on anti-corruption was formed, which launched an ambitious Project Ethos. In January, we welcomed you at the conference “Poštenost: vir dolgoročne konkurenčnosti gospodarstva”, and as a result of the conference, a declaration on honest business was developed with all companies in Slovenia invited to become the first signatories of the declaration.
38 companies and organizations have chosen to become the inaugural signatories of the declaration – and we deeply appreciate their courage to support this initiative.
